Robyn Hitchcock was an object of my supreme hero worship round about 1985. It didn’t get better than the Robyn Hitchcock and the Egyptians in this period. Two of the best shows that I have ever seen remain the 10th anniversary shows of the Soft Boys at Maxwell’s in Hoboken in the fall of 86.
I’m too jaded or old or both to be affected the way I was back then but I saw them many many times in those years and it didn’t or doesn’t get any better.
